Dane Palmer started on his percussion path in 1998 and is currently enrolled in undergraduate studies at Baldwin-Wallace College Conservatory working toward a degree in Percussion Performance. At Baldwin-Wallace, Dane studies percussion with Josh Ryan. He has also studied with Tobie Wilkenson and Nancy Zeltsman. Dane has also been a masterclass participant with Valerie Naranjo.

At Baldwin-Wallace, Dane has been the timpanist for the Symphonic Wind Ensemble and a percussionist for the Symphony Orchestra. He is also a member of the Percussion Ensemble and Jazz Ensemble. While at BW, Dane has performed in productions of ‘The Phantom of the Opera’, ‘Parade’, ‘Orpheus and the Underworld’, and Andrew Lippa’s ‘Wild Party”. Dane is also a member of the Front Street Percussion Quartet, who has toured the midwestern United States to give educational concerts and performances.

Dane will receive his Bachelor of Music in 2011 and plans to attend graduate school for his Masters of Music immediately thereafter. He is currently a freelance percussionist in the midwestern U.S. and plans to focus on marimba and commercial percussion in his career.
